Holiday Events and Light Displays near Knoxville, TN
Santa’s Village at the Knoxville Zoo
Where: The Knoxville Zoo – Knoxville, TN
When: Thursday, Dec. 13 to Sunday, Dec. 16
Before his Christmas Eve duties, Santa is stopping by the Knoxville Zoo to spread holiday cheer to the local kids. Zoo guests can see Santa in the Kids Cove tent where take-your-own and professional photos will be available along with other holiday-themed events and activities. Entrance into Santa’s Village is free with general admission.
Holiday Festival of Lights at The Cove
Where: The Cove at Concord Park – Knoxville, TN
When: Dec. 15 to Dec. 30 Excluding Christmas Eve and Christmas Day
The annual Knox County Holiday Festival of Lights will be kicking off on December 15th. Event guests will be able to walk the greenway trail that has been covered in lights that are synced with music. Beverages, cookies, and snacks will also be available for purchase. The event is free, but a non-perishable food donation is encouraged.
The Nutcracker Ballet
Where: Knoxville Civic Auditorium – Knoxville, TN
When: Performances on Dec. 1, Dec. 2, Dec. 7 & Dec. 8
Join the Appalachian Ballet Company and the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra for this year’s performance of The Nutcracker at the Knoxville Civic Auditorium. Multiple performance dates and times are available during the first two weekends in December. We suggest purchasing your tickets as soon as possible to get the best selection of seats.
