How much does it cost to replace my Toyota key?

New smart key systems have provided modern drivers with convenience-packed features like keyless entry and ignition and added security. However, because of the added tech, the cost to produce keys has soared. Getting a replacement is now much more expensive and time consuming than a quick trip to the neighborhood hardware store. So, how much does it cost to replace a Toyota key? Depending on the vehicle, smart key replacement can be as much as $200 to $600 and more. To combat the frustration of high key replacement costs, Toyota now offers a new Key Replacement Protection product through Toyota Financial Services that can make losing your key less stressful and expensive.
