Automatic Emergency Braking – this feature has been on several Toyota models since 2017. There were no major updates made to this system.

Pre-Collision System with Pedestrian Detection – the system can now help detect individuals on bikes as well as a pedestrian at dusk.

Full-Speed Dynamic Radar Cruise Control – kicking in at 30 miles per hour and above, the system can keep you a safe distance away from the vehicle in front of you and slow you down to 0 miles per hour, and then resume to the speed you were previously at. Additionally, if you are behind a driver that is going slower than the set speed, once in the lane over, the system will boost the vehicle until it is going the preset speed.

Lane Departure Alert – not too much with this system has changed as it still alerts the driver if it senses that he or she is leaving the lane without signaling.

What is the Pre-Collision with Pedestrian Detection system and how does it work?

Automatic High Beams – automatically adjusts the lights from high beams when there is no one around to low beams when the system senses oncoming traffic.

Road Sign Assist – takes the information from road signs and displays it on the multi-information display screen.

Rear Seat Reminder – the system knows whether or not a door has been opened within 10 minutes of the vehicle starting. When the engine is turned off, a message displays on the instrument cluster. Finally, there are multitone chimes to serve as an additional reminder to check the back seat before walking away.
