The most significant difference between the SE and the XSE are the standard features and the engine under the hood. The 2017 Toyota Camry SE is like the “sport” model in the lineup and carries all the features of the LE and adds a sport-tuned suspension, paddle shifters, upgraded cloth and simulated leather upholstery and a leather-wrapped steering wheel. It’s also standard with a 178-hp, 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine paired with a six-speed automatic transmission.

Moving up to the 2017 Toyota Camry XSE carries the features of the SE and below and adds it’s own variety, including LED running lights, a wireless charging pad, an upgraded Entune system with 7-inch display and a smartphone-based app navigation system. There is also a 10-speaker premium audio system, satellite and HD radio. While all 2017 Toyota Camry models are standard with the 2.5-liter engine option, the XSE and XLE are the only models available with a 268-hp, 3.5-liter V-6.
